Le Petit Blanc is probably one of the best holiday properties we have visited. We are a family with two teenage kids and have just enjoyed a great week. The property owners have really gone the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay providing lots of thoughtful items to ensure you have a great stay like a welcome pack with wine homemade jam, local advice folders, french books, lots of outside garden toys for all ages!! Beautiful summer house. The property is in a great area to visit the somme battle field sites, and the beautiful Opal coast often overlooked by us Brits dashing south. Great to see seals sun bathing! If you want to enjoy a peaceful location which is close to coast and interesting historical areas this is for you. You really do feel comfortable, welcome and relaxed. I have no hesitation in recommending this property which really is a great escape from the rush of UK life!!!

We stayed at the Petit Blanc gite over the New Year period. It was a delightful property, spotlessly clean with lovely gardens and lovely decor.

The property was equipped with everything one could ever need and the service from the owners exceptional, always happy to go that extra mile.

Great attention to detail was paid to every aspect, one such detail was a note our two young children telling them where to find toys and giving them a little treat to enjoy as well.

It's the little things that make Petit Blanc exceptional and I'm sure we will be back.

We had a fabulous week's stay (w/c 22.08) at Petit Blanc and I would echo other guest comments in that it is one of the best self catering cottages we've ever stayed in. The situation is perfect - no more than about 45 mins to all of the main locations which meant we got to visit loads of places!! Also there's plenty on the doorstep with the wonderful country walks and local villages.

In addition to all of the visits, we made full use of the gite's facilities. Plenty of games (inside and out) and we had a great few karaoke contest nights :-)

Would love to go back, and would not hesitate in recommending the gite to anyone - in any weather. There's plenty to do outside and in!!!!
I'd love to go back just to have cosy wood-burner warmed, DVD nights in that lovely solitude..

Thanks for creating a wonderful home from home x

Just returned from a great week at Le Petit Blanc. Everything was as good as, if not better than described in the previous reviews. The cottage is lovely and peaceful and contains everything you could possibly need for a comfortable relaxing holiday. The standard and attention to detail was excellent. We visited the nearby towns, Abbeville, Montruiel, St Valery, all very interesting. Another trip was to the town of Albert and the museum of the Battle of the Somme. Very thought provoking and makes you realise the sacrifice so many made so that we can enjoy the freedom we do now!
There are nice walks along the quiet country lanes near the cottage.
Le Petit Blanc is by far the best self catering cottage that we have stayed in and would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends. Hopefully we will be back

This place is amazing. Petit Blanc is a cottage with loads of character and charm with everything you could want and more for a relaxing break......warm and cosy with the fires and extremely quiet and tranquil on the edge Crecy forest. The cottage has more literature than a Tourist office so you'll never be short of something to do or somewhere to go. Loads of places to explore from WW1 battlefields and the well maintained graves to the quiet villages, the amazing churches and the wonderful beaches. The local Carrefour was well equipped with all your grocery needs and a very good selection of cheeses and wines. Never had enough time to do all that we wanted so will definitely be going back and definitely be recommending Petit Blanc to others.

Another lovely relaxing break at Petite Blanc. From the moment we walked through the door we felt at home. The welcome pack of a bottle of wine and a few nibbles were very much appreciated. Although not 'twitchers' we did spend some time watching the birds in the garden and it is amazing how many different varieties that you can spot. There are quite partial to walnut and carrot cake!
Already looking forward to our next visit in September.

Everything we expected of the cottage, clean, with all you would need and very cosy on the cold nights with the wood burner. The local Carrefour satisfied our needs, including some excellent wines! Visited Hesdin and St Omer enjoying good food in both places and the cathedral in the latter is worth the trip on its own. The weather was as expected in October, wet and chilly, but that was not going to spoil our holiday, we loved every minute of it, and are in the process of confirming next years holiday, We would advise anybody to do likewise!! — GEORGE & ROSE, 12 Nov 2013
We had a very peaceful week in a charming rural location. It was good to see the birds in the garden, still including summer visitors, willow warbler, chiff-chaff, a family of spotted flycatchers, blackcaps, swallows and house martins. We particularly liked the Authie valley area and had relaxing picnics every day. — David and Sylvia Jenkins, 24 Sep 2013
We stayed from 5th to 13th September and had an excellent week. Petit Blanc was a really good find! It was so well equipped that we wanted for nothing. It is in a lovely, peaceful location in an area well worth exploring. So often this part of France has simply to be "got through" as quickly as possible en route to parts further south.
We just wanted a quiet week and did not travel very far, but we did enjoy Abbeville, St Valérie, the gardens at the Abbé de Valloire and also eating out!
We are already thinking of returning in Spring when the days are longer and the flowers are in full bloom.

We had a wonderful time, the area is brilliant, and the gite provided everything we needed, we will be back I am sure.

Our son liked to visit the animals in the village, there is a paddock near the crumbling barn, with a donkey and a horse. There are also all the cats near the recycling bins.
We went for a walk along the edge of the forest and saw several deer, it is all so quiet.

We visited Rouen and the Joan of Arc church, areas associated with WW1, several beaches etc. I have always liked areas off the tourist track, so visiting any of the small villages was a pleasure.

We stayed in May half term 2013. What a lovely place to stay, there was nothing that this gite did not have. So comfortable and warm if needed. We had mixed weather but there were defintely times when we could play outside, go cycling, sit on the patio, visit the war sites, go to Amien (our favourite), visit the beach, go for a walk, see the local gardens, do some revision for gcse exams in the summer house in the peace and quiet. shh,,,, keep this place a secret we want to go back. — amanda wild, 26 Jun 2013
This is a lovely gite in a really excellent location. we had a very enjoyable 10 days here and would look to return soon. Visits to Condette to discover Dickens' home residence there proved unsuccessful this time but further exploration will be undertaken.
Great TV+ DVD facilities provided along with a really nice garden [moles included!]. The local Carrefour is also very useful.

Stayed at the end of April 2013 with a bird watching friend. What a lovely place! Le Petit Blanc is in a wonderfully quiet spot and has everything you could possibly need. The area is also very pleasant and Le Petit Blanc is in an ideal central location for exploring. As we were concentrating on birds it is worth mentioning that we saw 116 species during the week including 31 species from Le Petit Blanc itself. Considering it is only just over an hour away from the Channel Tunnel, we saw many species that are either difficult or impossible in England. From Le Petit Blanc the list included Crested Tit, Hawfinch, Grey Partridge, Hen Harrier and Hoopoe. Whilst from the Baie De Somme area we added Marsh Harrier, Black-necked Grebe, White Stork, Cattle Egret, Great White Egret, Spoonbill, Whimbrel, Black-winged Stilt, Spotted Redshank, Ruddy Shelduck, Egyptian Goose, Short-toed Treecreeper, Garganey, Little Ringed Plover, Kentish Plover, Yellow Wagtail, Nightingale, Black Redstart, Wheatear, Grasshopper Warbler, Mediterranean Gull, Middle Spotted Woodpecker and Turtle Dove and many more! We consider the two top birding spots to be Hable D'Ault and Marquenterre and the bird museum at Maison de la Baie de Somme et de l'Oiseau between Cayeux and St Valery is well worth a visit. — Tony Wright, 13 May 2013
March 2013 - Just got back from a perfect break at Le Petit Blanc. Weather was cold with snow, but the cottage was cosy and comfortable. Perfect excuse for a glass of red in front of the log burner. Cottage is fully equipped with everything your need; its a home from home. Wonderful walks in the forest on your doorstep and some interesting historic sites near by. Perfect! We hope to return again. — K Wyatt, 29 Mar 2013
Wow! What a surprise we had when we opened the door to this little gem of a gite. We could not beleive the welcoming atmosphere as we walked through the door on our first night. Everything was just perfect, we will definately be returning.

A lovely gite in a picturesque location. Lots of things to see and do and a remarkable place to recharge your batteries. We are so glad we have chosen Petit Blanc as our first destination to France as it has so much to offer. Our daughter enjoyed it so much and had something to do and see every day. We had everything we ever wanted for a perfect time away: sea, sandy beaches, traditional French rural life, modern cities, magnificent gardens, parks and forests and the delicious cuisine of Picardy. All in all, wonderful memories in a prefect location. Thank you so much for making us feel at home! We will definitely return next year.

Thank you for a great place to stay. We loved the location and the gite was really child-friendly and comfortable. — Lees Family, 28 Aug 2012
We think this should be called Petit Blanc Gem. It really is a wonderful little place to relax and recharge your batteries. A lot of thought had been given to cater for all ages who may visit the gite. It would be truly a wonderful little haven for anyone with elderly parents needing a break or with a disability as everything you needed was on one level. Clean and tidy with lovely little homely things everywhere you looked. Well researched to appeal to all ages. Cant wait to visit again. — Geoff and Michelle 4/8/12, 15 Aug 2012
Really enjoyed our stay ,very comfortable gite with lots of equipment and many extras, great seafood in le crotoy — steve and liz, 07 Aug 2012
We had the most perfect relaxing break at Le Petit Blanc. Everything in the gite was designed to make you feel at home and it was just the way I would have it if it were mine (if only). There was plenty to see in the area and with the forest on the doorstep we did not have to use the car every day.
Bliss.

Had a lovely stay in Petit Blanc, the gite has everything you would possibly need to have a great holiday, it's in a very quiet and peaceful area, the only noise is from the many birds that come and visit. The forest nearby makes for a nice walk in the evening or early morning and the garden is lovely and peaceful if you just want to read a book whilst sipping a glass of wine...heavenly! — Kathy Vickery, 05 Jul 2012
We had a fabulous time in Petit Blanc - the location is amazingly peaceful and quiet- with great facilities a stunning gite with pretty garden. It is wonderfully based to visit beautiful towns and cities, lovely coast, french markets and an underground city! --what a fabulous find. — Hotchkiss Family, 11 Jun 2012
We enjoyed the beautiful peaceful location, the children loved the forest and pretty stream and the lovely garden with lots of toys to play with and room to run around. The house had everything and more that we needed, a great place to relax, easy to find too. — Emma Luxton, 11 Jun 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house.
Everything had been thought of and the attention to detail was
exceptional. Delightful walks through the forest and an added bonus was sitting out in the pretty garden in the sunshine.
Can't wait to rebook.

A gem of a cottage. Peaceful yet not isolated. Light and sunny on a nice day yet warm and cosy with lovely log stove for the cooler nights. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need provided for you. More a home for a holiday rather than a holiday home.
