Getting Here

Travel: It takes us an hour and 15 minutes to drive down from Calais to Caumartin - all very easy on the great A16 motorway (a world away from the M20 motorway!).

Directions: From Eurotunnel – (around 1 and ½ hours) Follow directions for the A16 towards Boulogne.

From Boulogne ferries - (around 1 and ¼ hours) Follow signs for Le Touquet and Abbeville and then for the A16 towards Paris. You will pass exits for Boulogne, Le Touquet, Berck.

From Le Havre ferries - (around 1 and ¼ hours) Head
straight for the A28 going north towards Abbeville. After Abbeville
follow the A16 from Abbeville towards Boulogne and Calais.

From Dieppe ferries - (around 1 and ¼ hours) Head along the coast road going north towards Le Treport and Mers Les Bains on the D925. At Mers turn inland on the D29 to Abbeville. Then get on the main A28 to
Abbeville then follow the A16 from Abbeville towards Boulogne
and Calais.

AND THEN - From the A16 - Come off at Junction 24 signed Crecy
en Ponthieu and Rue. At the roundabout after the ‘Peage’ (toll booth) take the first right onto the N1 signed to Berck and Crecy en P.

Train: There are several options available.....

Eurostar provides a passenger service which you can join either in London at Waterloo or at Ashford in Kent - you can travel from London to Calais in around 2.5 hours.

Eurotunnel provides a vehicle service from Folkestone to Calais - the fastest method of crossing the channel.

Picardie boasts an excellent rail network with frequent connections to Calais, Paris and other nearby transport hubs. Paris is an easy day trip from here.

The nearest station to the gite is Rue (15 minutes drive).

Dover to Dieppe

Newhaven to Dieppe

Portsmouth to Le Havre
